Dear Friends,
I know that many of you are eager to donate to Ukraine but are overwhelmed. I have spoken with my Ukrainian friend and neighbor who currently has family and friends in Kiev and Lviv and she and many others are recommending to donate to the National Bank of Ukraine. The army has ammunition but needs so many things: helmets, bulletproof vests, medical supplies, the list goes on and on.
The National Bank of Ukraine has set up a special account where you can wire money, which we all know is about as convenient as sending a fax. So, to make it easy, we've started to fundraise using our personal Venmo accounts. We are pooling funds and then will do a wire at the end of the weekend. So far, my neighbor Alina has raised over $5,000 and I've raised $3,717. I want to raise more money for Ukraine, and I know that so many of you on this platform can help. Please, open up your heart and your wallet and help Save Ukraine from this barbaric and unjustified occupation. Help the Ukrainians beat the oppressor and put this heartbreaking war to and end.
My goal is to raise $5,000 (or more) for the incredibly brave Ukrainian soldiers. I am posting a link to my Venmo below and I hope that you'll help:

And to my friends who have already been so generous, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I never felt Ukrainian before 4 days ago and now, I never felt more connected to the land my Jewish family fled from. All I want, so very badly, is to save Ukraine. Help me.
Oh, and finally, for a sign of hope during the very darkest hours, see below: six newborns born in bomb shelters across Ukraine last night. May they be healthy and safe and live until 120, in peace, prosperity, and sovereignty. Amen.
Your friend,
Jane
